The Lagos Coroner Court sitting in Ikorodu has stated that the toxicology test, which is an aspect of an autopsy seeking to unearth the cause of death of the late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, is being conducted in the United States of America.

This was disclosed on Wednesday by O. Akinde during the ongoing inquest.

Akinde informed the Coroner Magistrate, Adetayo Shotobi, that the autopsy into the deceased’s external body had been completed, therefore the requirement for the test.

He said, “The toxicology test, which has to do with the internal body, is being done in the US.”

His revelation came as a result of the counsel to the deceased’s father, David Fadimu, insisting on the reasons for the delay in the test result.

Meanwhile, the coroner, Magistrate Shotobi, had asked why a foreign toxicologist was chosen despite the presence of toxicology laboratories in Nigeria.

Chronicle NG reported that Tuesday, November 21, 2023, marked two months since the corpse of the late Mohbad was exhumed and an autopsy was conducted to unravel the cause of the death of the rapper.
