Defending champions Argentina will play Spain in the final of the 2026 World Cup, following their stunning comeback win against England on Wednesday night.
The defending champions were one goal down after Anthony Gordon’s opening goal in the second half.
However, Argentina, inspired by their talisman Lionel Messi, fought back to win the game.
Lionel Messi rolled a pass into Enzo Fernandez to smash in the equalizer, before crossing to Lautaro Martinez to head in the winner.
For the Thomas Tuchel-led England, the 60-year wait to win the World Cup continues and they will now play France in the third-place play-off.
The Messi-led side will face Yamine Yamal’s Spain in the final on Sunday while France and England lock horns in the third place match on Saturday.
