    Popular Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, announced on Friday the birth of their first child.

    Popular Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, announced on Friday the birth of their first child.

    In a post on Instagram, the ‘Excess Love’ crooner posted pictures of her baby bump and her husband, with the caption, “Our heart is filled with joy and gratitude.”

    Mercy Chinwo had previously posted a video of one of her songs, ‘You Do This One’, with the caption, “Lord, we are grateful. We approach your throne with heartfelt songs of praise and thanksgiving. You have filled our hearts with joy, our lips with testimonies, and our home with celebration. Indeed, you do this one.”

    Obi Iyiegbu, popularly called Obi Cubana, a prominent socialite and business entrepreneur, responded to the news by saying, “Congratulations beautiful people. God is the greatest.” Also, a content creator, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, wrote, “Beautiful couple, now beautiful family.”

    For singer Olubankole Wellington, aka Banky W, he said, “It is Jesus that did this one, and we are here for it! Congratulations, my people. I love all three of you.” Also, actress Uchenna Nnanna commented, “Congratulations, my lady with a golden voice.”
