Asake, the Grammy-nominated Nigerian music star, has opened up about his desire to start a family in the near future.

During a recent appearance on Flow With Korty, the Lagos-born singer revealed that building a family is something he thinks about every day.

“I want to have a family by the special grace of God,” he said.

“I think about it every day. I would love to marry someday, but I don’t go out much. However, I know I will meet my wife, and it is in God’s hands.”

Offering more insight, Asake explained that he sees relationships and major life events as unfolding according to divine timing.

“There is a plan for everything in a man’s life. Humans just rush and make efforts because they don’t understand. The way we are right now, no one knows tomorrow,” he said.

When asked about his current romantic life, he responded lightheartedly, saying, “My mum is my babe.”

Asake rose to fame in 2020 with his hit song Lady. He joined YBNL Nation in February 2022.

He has released three studio albums: Mr. Money With The Vibes (2022), Work of Art (2023), and Lungu Boy (2024).

Asake is one of the leading voices in the Nigerian music industry, with numerous nominations and awards for his craft.

The Afrobeats sensation was nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category but lost to fellow Nigerian artist Tems.

The singer recently confirmed that he has relocated to Los Angeles, United States.
