Mr. Neda Imasuen of the Labour Party (LP) was proclaimed the winner of the Edo South senatorial district election on Monday by INEC.
Prof. A. Obasuyi, the Returning Officer, declared that Imasuen received 167,250 votes, defeating his PDP and APC opponents, who received 57,933 and 61,749 votes, respectively.
Mr. Iyawe Eseosa, the Labor Party candidate for the Oredo federal constituency, was elected, according to Obasuyi.
He stated that the APC and PDP candidates received 15,747 and 11,889 votes, respectively, in the election.
