The Kano State Civil Service Commission has condemned as spurious the spread of false information claiming that employment application forms are being sold to prospective job seekers.

Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, the Commission’s Director of Public Enlightenment, made the announcement in a statement given to journalists on Sunday.

“The Kano CSC noted with concern the circulation of false information suggesting that employment application forms are being sold to prospective job seekers.

“The commission wishes to inform the general public that at no time has it authorised the sale of any application forms for recruitment into the State Civil Service.

“This claim is entirely not true and should be disregarded in its entirety,” Yakasai said.

The commission strongly advised the public to rely entirely on official government channels for accurate updates on its recruitment and other activities, emphasising that all official announcements will be made only through authorised platforms.

It also restated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and due process in all recruitment processes, stating that anyone found to be committing fraud under the auspices of the Commission will face legal consequences.

The commission, therefore, urged members of the public against dealing with fraudsters and urged everyone to remain vigilant.

“For credible and official information on the activities of the Commission, the public is advised to always follow government-approved communication channels or visit the Kano State Civil Service Commission office at Audu Bako Secretariat, Kano,” the statement added.
