Jumia Nigeria has launched its 2026 Black Friday campaign, offering shoppers discounts of up to 60 per cent on essential products, electronics and lifestyle items.
The month-long promotion, tagged “No Manage Am”, runs from October 30 to November 30, giving consumers opportunities to replace faulty appliances, upgrade household essentials and purchase other products at reduced prices.
According to The Guardian, the campaign features deals across several consumer categories, with participating brands offering special promotions throughout the shopping period.
Jumia said it had upgraded its platform to accommodate approximately three times the traffic recorded during last year’s Black Friday campaign in anticipation of increased demand.
The campaign was unveiled at a media briefing attended by Jumia Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Temitayo Ojo, alongside other members of the company’s management team.
They included Chief Commercial Officer Oluwafemi Ajulo, Chief Marketing Officer Lere Awokoya, Chief Operations Officer Marilyn Oruwari and Head of Public Relations Henry Enyinnaya.
Jumia explains ‘No Manage Am’ campaign
The campaign draws inspiration from the popular Nigerian expression “No Manage Am”, encouraging consumers to stop making do with products that are no longer functioning properly.
Whether it is a faulty phone charger, an outdated household appliance or an overdue replacement, Jumia said the promotion was designed to help customers access better alternatives at affordable prices.
Speaking at the briefing, Ojo said the campaign was about more than offering discounts.
“With ‘No Manage Am’, we are making Black Friday about more than discounts: it is about helping customers get the products they want, at prices that work for them, through a reliable shopping experience.
“Our upgraded platform can accommodate approximately three times last year’s Black Friday traffic, and we are ready to deliver our most memorable edition yet,” he said.
Brands, special offers and shopping activities
NIVEA, Xiaomi and Skyrun are the headline sponsors of the 2026 campaign, while Silver Crest, Oraimo, Samsung and Aeon are among the participating brand partners.
The promotion also features several activities designed to attract shoppers throughout the month.
These include daily Brand Day deals, free shipping on Sundays, a Scavenger Hunt featuring 200 hidden items, the Snatch It Challenge and live-streamed giveaways.
On November 11, shoppers will also have the opportunity to discover hidden freebies across Jumia’s platform during a special promotional event scheduled to run from 8am to 6pm.
The campaign will end with a Cyber Monday shopping promotion on November 30.
Jumia strengthens platform ahead of increased demand
Beyond the discounts and promotional activities, Jumia said it had strengthened its operational capacity to manage the anticipated increase in orders.
The company disclosed that it had conducted platform stress tests, reinforced its infrastructure and worked with vendors to prepare product selections and fulfilment operations.
Customer support has also been expanded across the Jumia app, website, WhatsApp, live chat and telephone hotlines, with round-the-clock assistance available.
Additional services include AI-powered chat support, a call-to-order option and an improved returns and refunds process.
Jumia encouraged consumers to visit its website or download its mobile application to explore participating brands, compare available offers, create wishlists and plan their purchases.
The company said the preparations were aimed at providing shoppers with a reliable experience throughout the month-long Black Friday campaign.
