Jimmy Odukoya, the son of Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, has been named senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church.
The news was made during the church service on Sunday.
Rotimi Okpaise, a pastor, told the audience that following his death, the late Taiwo Odukoya informed the Board of Trustees (BoT) members about the succession plan.
According to Okpaise, Jimmy was unanimously voted senior pastor and board chairperson by the Board of Trustees.
“The board has chosen Saturday, September 30, 2023, as the date of Jimmy’s installation,” he stated.
The founder of the church, Odukoya, died on August 7 in the United States of America at the age of 67.
He died less than two years after losing his wife, Nomthi, a South African, following a two-year fight with cancer.
His successor, Jimmy, is a Nigerian musician and actor. He played the role of Oba Ade in Netflix’s ‘Woman King’ film.
He has also starred in films such as “Lifting the Veil, I Am Nazzy, and Oga Pastor.” In addition to acting, he is a motivational speaker.
