The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2026 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The announcement was made on Tuesday by Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through JAMB’s approved result-checking channels.
The 2026 UTME was conducted across about 966 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide between April 16 and April 23. However, technical issues at some centres prevented a number of candidates from taking the examination as scheduled.
To address the situation, JAMB organised a mop-up examination on June 13 for affected candidates and those who missed the main exercise.
According to the board, candidates can now check their results, while result slips required for admission processing are expected to be available for printing before the end of the week.
JAMB said the successful completion of the mop-up examination and the release of the results would pave the way for the next phase of the admission process.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates,” the statement said.
“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.”
The examination body also thanked candidates and stakeholders for their patience and cooperation throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the mop-up exercise.
JAMB had earlier stated that the mop-up examination would be the final opportunity for candidates to sit for the 2026 UTME, stressing that no further examinations would be conducted for this admission cycle.
