The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates to upload their O’level results from home while the board verifies them directly with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and other examination bodies.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin announced the development in a statement on Monday, describing it as part of the board’s renewed effort to make its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can upload their results through JAMB’s eFacility platform without making unnecessary visits to computer-based test (CBT) centres.
The board said the system will also reduce queues and manual processes while addressing problems associated with physical O’level result uploads, including misplaced documents, fraudulent or unverified results, and errors in entering subjects and grades.
“Through the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body’s records before being downloaded into the candidate’s profile,” Benjamin said.»
How candidates can verify O’level results
JAMB said the process will be completed in two stages.
In the first stage, candidates are required to visit the designated results verification platform, enter their National Identification Number (NIN) and select the ‘Verify NIN’ option.
They should then select the number of examination sittings and the relevant examination body or bodies before proceeding to payment.
Candidates will be required to provide an email address and telephone number and pay using a debit card or bank transfer.
After payment, they must enter their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify their results and obtain a verification code.
For the second stage, candidates should send VERIFY followed by the verification code to 55019 or 66019. JAMB said the result will subsequently be uploaded and candidates will receive a notification.
Candidates with two examination sittings will then be required to log into their JAMB eFacility profile, select ‘2026 UTME O’level upload’ and enter the verification code.
The two verified results will be displayed, allowing candidates to select the required subjects.
JAMB said candidates must select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once. They should then click ‘Apply the O’level results’ to complete the submission.
Benjamin said a notification will be sent after a successful upload.
He added that the initiative reflects JAMB Registrar Segun Aina’s commitment to improving the board’s services through technology and stronger collaboration with examination and government agencies.
