The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Abia South National Assembly elections inconclusive.

Prof. Georgina Ugwuanyi, the Returning Officer for the Abia South National Assembly elections, announced this on Tuesday while speaking to party agents at the collation center in Aba.

Ugwuanyi stated that there were 108 polling units that had issues that necessitated a rescheduled election.

She did, however, announce the available election results without declaring the winners.

According to her, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe of APGA received 49,693 votes in the elections.

She said that Alex Ikwecheghi of APGA polled 22,465 votes, while the incumbent Rep. Chimaobi Ebisike of PDP scored 13,388 votes.
