Social media influencer, Ojaigho Prosper, popularly known as GehGeh, has berated TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, over his decision to marry his partner, Elizabeth Aminata, also known as Jarvis, despite acknowledging his financial success.
Peller disclosed on Sunday that he had fulfilled traditional marriage rites by paying Jarvis’ bride price during a family introduction ceremony.
Reacting via his X page on Sunday, GehGeh questioned whether financial stability alone was enough reason for marriage, arguing that other factors should be considered before making such a commitment.
“Y’all are justifying his act with ‘he has the money allow him’. But y’all failed to ask yourself if he’s ready mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually,” he wrote.
He also stated, “Everything isn’t all about the money.”
GehGeh was also disappointed that Peller went ahead with the marriage plans despite his advice, claiming the TikTok star was still young and had room for personal growth.
“You’re still growing as a child; why get married now, ehn? I tried my best to help you, but you failed to listen to me. Peller don go marry Jarvis… Upon all my advice, this boy still pours spit in my face,” he said.
According to him, supporters of Peller’s decision should consider whether they would advise a younger family member to marry at a similar age.
Some users defended Peller’s decision on social media, citing financial stability and ability to support a family.
Chronicle NG reports that the introduction ceremony took place weeks after Peller proposed to Jarvis at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, where she accepted his proposal.
