Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Manchester City forward Khadija “Bunny” Shaw were among the biggest winners at the 2026 Professional Footballers’ Association Awards, winning the men’s and women’s Players’ Player of the Year titles on Tuesday.
The awards, which are voted on by fellow professional footballers, recognize great individual performances in English professional football.
Nico O’Reilly of Manchester City was awarded men’s Young Player of the Year, while Olivia Smith of Arsenal earned the women’s Young Player of the Year award.
Sir Kenny Dalglish, renowned former Liverpool manager, and Karen Carney, former England international, also received PFA Merit Awards at the presentation, which took place at the Manchester Opera House.

The PFA Awards are voted on by players, giving the awards a particular identity as appreciation from footballers of their peers’ efforts during the season.
