A security officer and one other person were discovered dead in the Ugbolu community, close to Asaba, 24 hours before the general election in Delta State, which caused unrest in the Asaba areas.

Invading thugs who are thought to be Indigenous People of Biafra entered the neighborhood early on Friday and killed two people.

The policeman allegedly died after being beheaded and set afire with a motorcycle on Ugbolu Mi-5 route.

It was discovered that the IPOB members were shouting “no election” and shooting, which led to the deaths of two people: a security guard and a bystander who was allegedly stabbed to death.

The dead bodies were found along Ugbolu road around 7:30 am, near the 63 Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the death but said only one dead body was found.

Edafe said the details of the killing of the unidentified man were yet-to-be-ascertained, saying, “we are investigating the matter”.
