A fake female soldier identified as Angela Maidoki has confessed that she was using the army uniform of her late husband to escort goods and vehicles to different parts of the country to take care of her family.

She was arrested by troop of the 4 Brigade Nigeria Army while wearing military camouflage uniform to escort alleged smuggled vehicles.

Edo Police spokesman, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, who paraded the suspect, said she would soon be charged to court.

Nwabuzor said Angela told operatives that her husband was a soldier who died in 2017 as a Lance Corporal in Maiduguri while fighting Boko Haram insurgents.

In a chat with newsmen, Angela said she took up the job of using military camouflage to escort vehicles after the death of her husband,

“The money I get ranges from N8000 to N15000 depending on the vehicle.

“I bought this uniform. If you look carefully, it is different from the real military uniform.”
Nwabuzor also a Edo state command of the Nigerian Police force on Friday paraded a forty-two-year-old man Uchenna Duru posing as a lawyer to defraud one Abdulahi Ruth of Airforce School of undisclosed amount of money and stole her Toyota Camry saloon car with registration number GU-514-LV.

During investigation, one madam Adams Dora was arrested but denied any involvement in the case. However she alleges that Uchenna Duru also fraudulently obtained one million naira and additional one million five hundred thousand naira to buy one Rav 4 jeep with the promise that he will marry her in December 2018.

But Duru said he decided not to marry Dora again when he discovered that she already has four children and he has two.

He said he had paid her dowry for the marriage only to suddenly discover that she already had four children. Nigeria News
