Easter, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, “reminds us that God can turn a painful situation around for good.”
In an Easter letter to Nigerians that he personally signed on Friday, he made this statement and added that the central theme is the victory of light over darkness.
Recognizing that the period is about rekindling hope and a magnificent future, Buhari advised all Nigerians to remain self-assured and sincerely believe that better times are ahead for the nation.
The President praised the newly elected leaders after the country’s 2023 general elections were completed while also recognizing the right of individuals who felt the results were unfair to seek compensation. He stated that he anticipates their patience and willingness to allow the legal system to run its course.
Buhari described as a rare privilege the chance to serve as president of the country since 2015, saying he had been guided by the vows he took to keep Nigeria united, prosperous, and secure.
In celebration of the Easter season, the President enjoined Nigerians to do so in love, compassion, kindness, resilience, and forgiveness.
