The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) of Nigeria has issued a sensitive reminder to Christians during the Easter mood celebration to pay their taxes.
FIRS made their stance known to Christians on Sunday in a social media post on their official pages.
The post stated that “Jesus paid your debts, not taxes.”
“As we celebrate this season of rebirth, let us remember to continuously uphold our civic obligations.
It added, “Happy Easter from the FIRS.”
The FIRS operates under the motto, “It pays to pay your tax.”
