Real Madrid player Yan Diomande has expressed his strong admiration for José Mourinho, saying he is ready to give everything for the Portuguese manager.
The Ivorian forward was cited as adding that when players work for Mourinho, they form a special link.
According to Fabrizio Romano on X on Friday, Diomande stated, “When you play for José Mourinho, you want to die for him.” “I am willing to die for him,” Diomande stated.
Despite the hefty transfer amount invested to lure him to his new club, the teenage forward insists he feels no pressure.
He believes the money reflects the club’s conviction in his potential and should not make him nervous.
“They spent a lot of money because they believe in me; why will I be scared?
“I’m not scared; I feel no pressure. I will do what I do, and God will do the rest,” he added.
Diomande’s statements demonstrate his confidence as he seeks to justify the club’s investment and establish himself in his new environment.
Madrid completed the signing of the Ivory Coast international from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to €140 million (£120 million), with the highly rated teenager signing a seven-year contract at the Santiago Bernabéu.
