Music producer Dr. Roy has berated Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo over unpaid debts for songs he produced for her.
Dr. Roy made the claims while speaking during the Honest Bunch podcast with popular on-air personality Nedu.
He stated that he works with Mercy Chinwo from 7 a.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
However, he alleged that despite putting in all the hours to work with the music star, he couldn’t provide for his family due to her refusal to pay for services rendered.
Dr. Roy tearfully stated that even when his father developed a stroke and was bedridden, he called the gospel minister for help. However, she only prayed for his sick father, saying, “He will be alright.”
Dr. Roy mentioned that he produced her award-winning songs, Excess Love, Omekanaya, Receive It, and Incredible God, among others.
At the time of filing this report, the award-winning artist had yet to make a statement on the allegations.
