    The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of one Abubakar Munkailu, a property agent, before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna, on a one-count charge bordering on forgery.

    • Court jails 5 internet fraudsters in Anambra

    The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. Consequently, the prosecution counsel, N. Salele, urged the court to convict him accordingly. Justice Khobo convicted him and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment or a fine of N100,000. He has since restituted the complainant.

    Munkaila, a property agent at Danbushiya, Chikun Local Government Area, ran into trouble when he sold four plots of land located at Millennium City, Kaduna, valued at N4,175,000, which did not belong to him, with forged documents.
