Team Nigeria increased its medal haul at the on-going Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games with two podium finishes in the women’s Discus Throw event.
Nigeria’s Chioma Onyekwere clinched the gold medal after throwing a season’s best of 61.70m, to beat England’s Jade Lally who won the silver medal after throwing 58.42m.
While another Nigerian Obiageri Amaechi came third in the final, clinching the bronze medal throwing 56.99m.
