    Chelsea’s winless streak in the Premier League extended to four matches after a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

    Despite their early dominance, the Blues failed to secure all three points, leaving their title hopes hanging by a thread.

    Crystal Palace entered the match in improved form, with a record of four wins, five draws, and two losses in their previous 11 games. However, their dismal recent record against Chelsea (one draw, 14 losses) suggested a challenging afternoon for Oliver Glasner’s side.

    Chelsea struck early, breaking the deadlock in the 14th minute. Jadon Sancho’s clever dummy and surging run set up Cole Palmer, who calmly slotted the ball past Dean Henderson. The visitors continued to press for a second, with Pedro Neto’s header and Nicholas Jackson’s missed volley highlighting their dominance in the first half.

    Despite Chelsea’s control, they failed to extend their lead, allowing Palace to grow into the game. The hosts came close to equalizing just before halftime when Eberechi Eze narrowly missed connecting with Ismaila Sarr’s cross.

    The second half saw Palace turn up the pressure. As the hour mark approached, Jean-Philippe Mateta‘s deflected effort signaled the Eagles’ growing confidence. With less than 15 minutes remaining, Palace’s persistence paid off. A misplaced pass from Palmer led to a swift counterattack, with Mateta finishing coolly to level the score.

    Chelsea’s frustration was evident as Enzo Fernandez narrowly avoided a second yellow card late on, but they could not regain their early momentum.

    The draw sees Crystal Palace remain in 15th place, with their poor home form (two wins in 11 matches) continuing to haunt them.

    For Chelsea, the result was another setback. Although they avoided slipping out of the top four, their title ambitions look increasingly out of reach, as they now trail leaders Liverpool by nine points, having played two more games.
