Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has paid tribute to Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, the mother of his colleague Wizkid, who passed away recently.
Mrs. Balogun passed away on Friday.
Celebrities and public figures have flooded social media with condolence messages for Wizkid and his family since her death was reported.
Burna Boy, on the other hand, took it to a new level by stopping his show at the Afronation Fest in Detroit, Michigan, to pay tribute to the late Mrs. Balogun.
He asked the crowd to observe a minute’s silence for the late mother of the Grammy-winning musician before proceeding to sing a line from his collaborative song with Wizkid, ‘Ginger.’
