    President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the leader of the Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Reuben Fasoranti and his family following the death of his daughter.

    Mrs Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Chief Fasoranti was killed during an attack on travellers on the Benin-Ore-Lagos expressway on Friday.

    Olakunrin, the 58-year-old daughter of the 94-year-old Yoruba leader, Fasoranti, along with others ran into the barricade of the suspected Fulani herdsmen said to have been terrorising motorists on the expressway.

    Mourning her death, President Buhari prayed that God gave Pa Fasoranti and his family fortitude to bear the loss.

    “President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, whose daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin was killed along Ondo-Ore road by those described as armed robbers by Ondo Police Command. He prays God to give Pa Fasoranti fortitude to bear the loss,” Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media & Publicity to the President tweeted.
