Peter Gene Hernandez, the American singer popularly known as Bruno Mars, has announced the completion of his fourth studio album.

The 40-year-old global superstar broke the news on social media on Monday with a simple and short post that read: “My album is done”.

However, the album’s title, tracklist, and release date remain unknown.

The announcement marks Mars’s first solo album since the monumental success of his third studio project ’24K Magic’ released in 2016.

That album defined a sonic era, spawning a string of hits including ‘That’s What I Like,’ ‘Versace on the Floor,’ ‘Finesse,’ ‘Perm,’ and “Too ‘Good to Say Goodbye’ that swept six trophies at the 2018 Grammys.

Mars established his name in the music industry as a songwriter and co-founder of the production team The Smeezingtons. He rose to fame as a recording artiste after featuring on the hit single ‘Nothin’ on You’ (2009) by B.o.B.

Regarded as a pop icon, the songwriter is known for his three-octave tenor vocal range, live performances, retro showmanship, and musical versatility.

Mars has sold over 150 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artistes of all time.

His accolades include 16 Grammy Awards, 14 American Music Awards, four Brit Awards, 14 Soul Train Awards, and eight Guinness World Records.

Mars’s other two studio albums include ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ (2010) and ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ (2012)
