A 20-year-old boy has allegedly killed his father for money ritual, removing his private part for the diabolic exercise.

The young man simply identified as Ridwan revealed that he killed his biological father in Ogun State to fulfill the ritual rites.

On Thursday, he was apprehended by members of the Ogun State So-Safe Corps in Oshoku village, Ijebu North Local Government Area.

In a statement issued by the corps’ spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, the So-Safe Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, claimed that at about 12 midnight on Thursday, August 31, officers on routine patrol heard an unusual noise in a building near Oshoku.

“To the officers’ dismay, they found a man’s body in a pool of his own blood, and the alleged killer fled the scene,” Ganzallo said in reference to the money ritual exercise.

Ganzallo, according to the statement, asked the Zonal Commander of the Ijebu Zonal Command, Marcus Ayankoya, to apprehend the alleged killer within 24 hours.

“The suspected murderer was apprehended while hiding in a bush.” He admitted to killing his father, Ishau, for money ritual. He said he tied a rope around his neck and used a knife to take the necessary pieces of his corpse for ritual purposes.

The corps commander stated that during interrogation, the alleged killer told officers that “he only removed the private part, larynx, and four teeth of his father as requested by a ritualist he identified as Baba Kekere.”

Ganzallo further revealed that when questioned about the ritualist’s whereabouts, he refused to provide any information. He claimed that the alleged murderer has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force’s Ogbere Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.
