    The Nigerian police have announced the arrest and interrogation of Linus Williams, CEO of Blord Group, over alleged fraud and violations of the CBN Act.

    The Nigerian police have announced the arrest and interrogation of Linus Williams, CEO of Blord Group, over alleged fraud and violations of CBN Act.

    This was announced in a statement on Tuesday by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer.

    According to the statement, Williams is being questioned on allegations concerning cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.

    His companies, Blord Group, Blord Real Estate LTD, Blord Jetpate LTD, and Billpoint Technology, are all under police scrutiny.

    “The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate LTD, Blord Jetpaye LTD, and Billpoint Technology.

    “These offences include allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks,” the statement reads.

    It added that the police carry out the investigations diligently in a bid to eradicate cyber crimes in the country.

    “We will do due diligence in our investigations. Our cyberspace in Nigeria must be safe and secured by all means. We are committed to achieving that,” the statement added.
