The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, often known as Imisi, has disclosed plans to form a non-governmental organization dedicated to assisting girls.

Speaking shortly after receiving an additional N2 million check from BetKing recently in Lagos, Imisi hailed the gesture as both astonishing and encouraging.

The prize was given to her for winning a betting company-sponsored competition during her time in the BBNaija house.

Imisi told about her early challenges, which she characterized as dramatic and challenging, while thanking BBNaija for the opportunity and the newest cash award.

She further stated that her journey had long inspired a desire to support young girls facing similar difficulties.

Imisi said, “I am overwhelmed; I am happy and grateful; I feel good, excited, and delighted. I just feel good seeing all these working in my favor.

“As a lady, I know what it was like growing up. So, for me, I would like to do something for a girl child. I am not clear yet, but something like a foundation for the girl child, because that has always been my desire, and I think I really want to do that.

“Things are still looking like a dream to me now, but I really want to do that. While growing up as a girl child, it was a very dramatic time for me.”

The reality show champion, who had been performing for a while before joining the show, thanked the Big Brother Naija platform for raising her public profile, stating, “I am happy. I have been an actress for a while now, but Big Brother really gave me the exposure, and I am grateful. It means a whole lot to me.”

At the check-giving ceremony, BetKing’s Head of Marketing, Nengi Akinola, revealed the reasoning for the cash prize.

According to her, the company wanted to reward housemates while also introducing BetKing’s proprietary games to a larger audience.

Akinola emphasized the impact of BBNaija in amplifying the firm’s reach, noting, “We released some exclusive games this season, for instance, Danfo Lagos, a take on our popular transportation buses. We also released JJ Ball X, a collaboration with Jay Jay Okocha. It’s a game where the avatar has to kick the ball.

“Recently, we released a game called Film House, where a female character is trying to do certain poses in a bid to cash out on time. In essence, we had certain exclusive games that we wanted to showcase to an entertainment audience, and Big Brother provided us the opportunity to reach those audiences. This is our first time collaborating with Big Brother.”

She acknowledged that the brand was evaluating the impact of the collaboration to determine future involvement.

She said, “The possibilities are endless. We are analyzing the value that we have gotten from this, and when we start planning for next year, we will see what is in the cart for us.”
