Bayern Munich have sacked Julian Nagelsmann as its head coach on Thursday and will appoint compatriot Thomas Tuchel as his successor, the German newspaper, Bild has reported.
Tuchel, a former Chelsea manager is expected to be announced as early as tomorrow by the Bundesliga champions sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano said.
Romano says a deal has been agreed between Tuchel and Bayern with contract agreed and document being prepared tonight.
“Thomas Tuchel becomes new FC Bayern head coach, full agreement in place. He has already accepted the job,” Romano wrote on his Twitter account.
Nagelsmann, 35, was in charge when Bayern lost 2-1 at Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday and Borussia Dortmund moved top of the Bundesliga.
He took charge in 2021 and led Bayern to their 10th German title in a row last season.
They play Manchester City next month in the Champions League quarter-finals.
