Barcelona has submitted a bid to Borussia Dortmund for winger Karim Adeyemi, transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gerard Romero have reported.
Romano, in a post on X on Thursday, said negotiations between the two clubs were ongoing, with Adeyemi keen on a move to Camp Nou.
“Karim Adeyemi agreed to terms with Barcelona and informed BVB he only wants a Barça move.
“Adeyemi is out of contract in June 2027 and not planning to sign a new deal,” Romano said.
He stated that Barça had made an offer and was awaiting Dortmund’s decision.
The move comes after Barcelona finalized the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, indicating that Hansi Flick’s side is not done strengthening their attack this summer.
Adeyemi, 24, missed Germany’s World Cup squad through injury but has remained a regular for the national team in recent years.
He scored 10 goals last season for Dortmund, alongside several assists, and is regarded as one of the fastest players in European football.
The interest in Adeyemi comes amid uncertainty over Raphinha’s future at the club.
Barca Blaugranes reported that the Brazilian’s World Cup campaign is now over, freeing him to consider a possible move to Saudi Arabia, and questioned whether Adeyemi’s arrival could be linked to the club’s plans for Raphinha.
Dortmund are yet to respond publicly to Barcelona’s bid.
