Hon. Musiliudeen Akinremi, a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, is dead. Although details of his death were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, the lawmaker was said to have died on Wednesday at the age of 51. No fewer than twelve children were killed in South Africa on Wednesday morning after a minibus transporting them to school near Johannesburg crashed and caught fire after being hit by another vehicle. The Gauteng provincial administration confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday. The driver of the minibus was also murdered, and seven other children were taken to the hospital. It could not immediately provide the ages of the children. Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, has reunited the rescued kidnapped children of Kaduna Judge Janet Gimba with their family.  On June 23, the bandits raided the judge’s home and kidnapped her and her four children. The gunmen liberated her on Sunday and wanted a ransom of N150 million for the freedom of her children, citing a three-day deadline. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has rolled out touch sanctions against DisCos that commit infractions capable of inflicting pain on consumers. NERC, among other things, stated that it would reduce five percent of the administrative and operational expenditure of any electricity distribution company that failed to offtake at least 95 percent of the total energy allocated to it for distribution. This was disclosed in the commission’s Order on Performance Monitoring Framework for all the DisCos. Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has indicated that only three of the 22 airports under its supervision are profitable and contribute significantly to the expansion of the aviation sector. The kidnapped children of Kaduna State Judge Janet Galadima have been released by the kidnappers  after spending about 15 days in captivity. However, Barr.
