Suspected armed herdsmen carried out a fatal attack on the Egwuma village in Benue State’s Agatu Local Government Area, killing six people, including two soldiers, on Tuesday.  According to a local resident named Anthony, the herdsmen stormed the village at 5 p.m., terrorising residents. The attack reportedly caused residents to evacuate their houses in terror. The Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) has retrieved an additional 16 dead from the sad boat accident in Gbajibo, Niger State. The newly retrieved bodies included two ladies and 14 males, adding to the prior finding of nine dead—two females and seven males, obringing the total number of recovered victims to 25. No fewer than nine bodies, including two women and seven men, have been recovered following a tragic boat accident that occurred in Gbajibo, Niger State. The victims were among 300 passengers travelling from Mundi Community to attend the Maulid celebration at Gbajibo on Tuesday night when the boat capsized. The Niger State Emergency Management Agency confirmed that 150 passengers were immediately rescued, while another 150 remain unaccounted for. The boat was mostly carrying women and children. A boat carrying over 300 passengers, mostly women and children, capsized during a Maulid celebration journey in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State on Tuesday.  The passengers were travelling from Mundi Community to Gbajibo Community for the festival when tragedy struck. Iran has extended the closure of its airspace, anticipating Israeli reprisal for its attack on the enemy country on Tuesday evening. Manchester City star Matheus Nunes has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of stealing a cell phone from a nightclub in Madrid.  The 26-year-old Portuguese international was allegedly detained early on September 8 at La Riviera, a popular club, and transferred to a nearby police station for questioning, according to Daily Mail. The bodies of 20 children and three teachers were recovered after a bus carrying schoolchildren crashed and caught fire near Bangkok.  The bus was returning to Bangkok from a school excursion to Thailand’s north. Flames engulfed the bus as it burnt under a flyover, sending large clouds of dense black smoke into the sky. The driver surrendered to authorities 100 kilometres (61 miles) north of Bangkok, according to local media.
