The Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, struck out the charges brought against a total of 119 #EndBadGovernance Protesters. On Friday, all 119 protesters were charged with treasonable felony, intent to destabilise Nigeria, and inciting mutiny by calling on the military to take over the government from President Bola Tinubu, among other offences. Alani Rafiu, a Muslim cleric (Alfa), has been condemned to life in jail for raping a 14-year-old girl inside a mosque.  Justice Rahman Oshodi imposed the punishment on Monday after finding Rafiu guilty of child defilement. Rafiu was charged on October 28, 2021, with having sexual relations with the minor. The incident happened on August 17, 2021, in the Ikotun region of Lagos State. A driver simply identified as Emeka was killed by kidnappers who abducted five passengers on a journey from Kebbi State to Asaba, Delta State, police confirmed.
