A DHL cargo plane crashed near the Vilnius International Airport on November 25, 2024, killing one person, according to firefighters. “The plane was due to land at Vilnius airport and crashed a few kilometres away,” Renatas Pozela, the head of the firefighting and emergency services unit, said, adding that one person in the four-member crew died. The National Crisis Management Centre’s head, Vilmantas Vitkauskas, confirmed that everyone inside the house was evacuated after a house caught fire during the crash, the cause of which is unknown. Inspector Edith Uduma, a former Edo State police officer, reportedly threatened to kill herself and her children after being fired for reporting an alleged rape involving a colleague.  She accused the state police command of unfairly dismissing her, claiming the public had not heard her side of the tale. The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, and the Benin Traditional Council may withdraw their lawsuits against the state government after Governor Monday Okpebholo restored the Oba’s full statutory rights and reversed previous administration policies affecting the Benin Traditional Council on Sunday. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors over allegations that it manipulated the Edo State governorship election held on September 21, 2024. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of a businessman caught with a large quantity of cocaine. Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy, announced the arrest on Sunday on his X account, along with a video of the seized contraband.
