No fewer than 14 Nigerians have been declared wanted by INTERPOL for offences ranging from human trafficking, drug trafficking, robbery, cheating, and forgery, among others. Chronicle NG gathered on Tuesday from Red Notices published on the INTERPOL website that the 14 Nigerians were wanted by different countries where they had allegedly committed the crime. Civil servants under the employment of the Federal Government are facing gloomy Christmas celebration following the delay in payment of their December 2024 salaries. Chronicle NG gathered that federal workers suffered delayed salaries in November 2024. According to our sources, the majority of federal employees received their November 2024 salary in the second week of December. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has initiated enforcement action against five airlines (two international and three domestic operators) for various violations of Part 19 of the NCAA regulations.  The NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, disclosed this in a statement released to journalists on Tuesday. They were sanctioned for nonpayment of refunds within the stipulated time frame, non-responsiveness to the NCAA’s directives, missing luggage, manhandled luggage, short-landed baggage, and delayed and cancelled flights, among other things. Suspected political thugs on Monday took control of the Oredo Local Government Area secretariat in Edo State, preventing the chairman, Tom Obaseki, from gaining access to his office.
