Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has resigned from a case involving suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The decision was made on Tuesday after Senate President Godswill Akpabio wrote a petition questioning his impartiality. The Niger State Police Command has detained Mubarak, who is suspected of being mentally disturbed, for fatally stabbing a 25-year-old man, Shamseen Danshehu. The incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Kwangila suburb of Minna, the state capital, when Mubarak allegedly engaged Danshehu in a fisticuff, stabbing him in the chest. He was taken to nearby Minna General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Dr George Nwaeke has resigned his position as the Head of the Rivers State Civil Service. The resignation of the HoS, who served under suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara, was announced in a statement made by the Chief of Staff to the Sole Administrator and obtained by journalists on Tuesday morning. Han Jong-Hee, co-CEO of Samsung Electronics, died on Tuesday of heart arrest at the age of 63, a company official announced.  Han, born in 1962, has led Samsung’s consumer electronics and mobile device businesses since 2022, according to the company. In 2022, he was appointed as Samsung Electronics’ vice chairman and co-CEO. Jun Young-Hyun, Han’s co-CEO, oversees the semiconductor industry. The Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Monday visited regions hit by communal clashes in the Ilobu, Ifon, and Erin Osun villages, denouncing the widespread destruction of properties. The Nigeria Police has recorded over 2,300 arrests in various raids conducted across the country from February 2025 to date. The amount was broken down as follows: 602 armed robbery suspects, 385 abduction suspects, 557 murder/homicide suspects, 215 people in illicit possession of firearms, 286 rape suspects, and 276 suspected cult members.
