kidnappers in Kaduna State have released Pastor Samson Ali, a 30-year-old clergyman from the Evangelical Church Winning All, but have abducted the ransom bearer, Yusuf Ambi. Ali was kidnapped from his house in Mararaba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on April 8, 2025, only two weeks after being assigned to the church. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has listed 1,277 persons for follow-up over the possibility of being infected with Lassa fever. Human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, has cautioned the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, against involving the police in the ongoing dispute between him and the senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
