Two female students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, have reportedly died following a stampede that occurred at the university’s convocation square on Friday. The Nasarawa State Government distributed palliatives to students at the convocation square. Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has agreed to settle a breach of contract case launched against him by the Amaju Pinnick-led Brownhill Investment Company Limited outside of court. It was reported in October 2023 that Pinnick, a former head of the Nigeria Football Federation, chastised Davido for failing to satisfy his performance responsibilities at an event despite receiving $94,600. The Lagos State Magistrates Court sitting in Oshodi has convicted hoodlums extorting traders and other users of the pedestrian bridge across the state.  Magistrate Oshikoya found the suspects guilty of breach of public peace and illegal collection of money from people with goods and sentenced the defendants to 1 month in prison. No fewer than four children have reportedly been killed in a fresh outbreak of diphtheria disease in villages in the Mingibir Local Government Area of Kano State. The Lagos State Government has arrested two people suspected of extorting businessmen and residents for utilising a pedestrian bridge in the Yaba district of the state.
