The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says Nigeria is set to host the regional digital economy conference in the country. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, awarded a N1 million fine against the expelled National Chairman of Action Alliance (AA), Mr. Kenneth Udeze, for instituting a suit in the name of the party against Sen. A 35-year-old father, Temitayo Bamiro, was docked at an Ojo Magistrate’s Court, Lagos on Monday for allegedly defiling his 13-year-old daughter. Bamiro pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge preferred against him. The prosecutor, Dr. Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offense on Jan. 7, at the Iba New Site in Ojo, Lagos. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control said it destroyed tramadol and unregistered pharmaceuticals worth N95bn. The NAFDAC Director General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, who disclosed this at a press briefing on Monday said the destruction was done in December 2022 after four and half years of monitoring with the help of the government of Benin Republic. The products found in five containers were tramadol 200mg and higher-strength, diclofenac tablets. The products were destroyed in Cotonou. Aboaba, who was said to be one of the closest allies of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, died this morning after a brief illness.
