Public health officials in Colorado announced on Wednesday that a man had tested positive for avian flu after reporting mild symptoms, including conjunctivitis, or pink eye. Officials said that the man, a dairy farm employee, recovered from his exposure to infected cattle after receiving antiviral treatment. The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has detected 3,000 fake graduates who never set foot within the four walls of a classroom. The board also decried the issue of illegal admissions by some institutions which, it said, had remained a source of embarrassment to the country. Some Nigerians have criticized the Lagos State authorities for sealing a residence whose occupants were seen tossing waste into the flood following a heavy downpour.
