Stanley Nwabali has been nominated for the 2024 CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award. Nwabali will battle nine other top goalkeepers for the award. CAF released the nominees for the award on Thursday. The Chippa United shot stopper had an impressive outing for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations earlier in the year. The 28-year-old is currently one of the highly rated goalkeepers in the South African League. The 2024 CAF Awards will hold in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16.

In a move to cut the cost of governance, President Bola Tinubu has restricted ministers, ministers of state, and heads of agencies of the federal government to a maximum of three vehicles in their official convoys. Tinubu, through a statement by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, said no additional vehicles will be assigned to them for movement. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has sought for adjournment of hearing in its fresh charge against the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and two others, to November 14, 2024. At the resumed hearing, Counsel to the Commission, Rotimi Oyedepo, said the court issued public summons against Bello, directing that same be published and that the charge be pasted.
