The Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in its ex-depot price of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to N970 per litre for oil marketers. This is a cut from the refinery’s N990 ex-depot price announced earlier this month, according to a statement on Sunday. The slash would help marketers save about N20 on each litre of petrol bought from the Lekki-based plant. Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the formation of a 14-member State Assets Verification Committee to investigate the administration of his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), says it will resume nationwide continuous voter registration (CVR) February 2025. INEC said the exercise would commence at the LGA level and later extend to registration areas. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited more foreign schools to write the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to broaden its horizon and expand its global presence.
