The Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) has suspended its strike at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State, for two weeks to allow the Federal Government to resolve its dispute with the institution’s management. Last Wednesday, the UCH branch of NUAHP began an indefinite strike over the failure of the institution to reinstate Adeyinka Ishola, its director of pharmaceutical services. The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed October 26, 2026, to deliver judgment on the no-case submission filed by Nasir El-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State, in a case concerning the alleged unlawful interception of telephone conversations.
