The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has been given permission to examine election materials that were used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on February 25, 2023, by the Abuja Appeal Court. At the Akere Spare Parts Market, Ajegunle in the Apapa district of Lagos State, a fire incident resulted in the destruction of goods valued in the millions of naira. A 65-year-old security guard’s lifeless body was reportedly found close to the accident site. Commercial banks have been obligated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to collect old N500 and N1,000 naira notes from clients. According to the statement, the Supreme Court’s directive makes the old notes legal tender.
