The hike in cooking gas, fuel prices is in the bid to cut subsidies. Tunisia said on Saturday it is raising the price of cooking gas cylinders by 14% and fuel by 3% as part of a plan to reduce energy subsidies, a policy change wanted by the country’s international lenders. The Energy Ministry said the cooking gas price will increase to 8.800 dinars from 7.750 dinars, in the first raise in 12 years. A bricklayer, Adamo Aliyu, recently arrested alongside four others for robbery and murder said he has lost count of the number of people he killed. US President Joe Biden has warned Russia not to use chemical or tactical nuclear weapons in the war in Ukraine. Speaking during an interview with CBS News, Mr Biden said such action would “change the face of war unlike anything since World War Two”. He would not say what response the US would make to the use of such weapons. Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), yesterday, said it will from next Thursday, shut down both Ladipo and Oyingbo markets till further notice, for reckless dumping of waste, refusal to pay for waste services, and general poor waste management situation at the markets.
