The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has served a seven-day ‘Removal Order’ notice to owners/drivers of trucks, tankers and trailers illegally parked under the Costain Bridge to Iganmu Area of the State. Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy has been found not guilty of one count of rape on the direction of the judge at his trial. Mr Mendy, 28, was cleared at Chester Crown Court of the rape of a 19-year-old woman at his home in Prestbury, Cheshire, on 24 July last year. Co-accused Louis Saha Matturie, 41, was also found not guilty of two counts of rape against the same woman. They remain on trial for alleged sexual offences which they both deny. A 24-year old Nigerian lady, Annatasia Olamma, on Tuesday offered her kidney to Sonia Ekweremadu following a public plea for a donor. Sonia, the daughter of embattled former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, on Monday made a spirited plea following her deteriorating health. Anthony Joshua has accepted WBC champion Tyson Fury’s terms for an all-British heavyweight fight on 3 December and is “awaiting a response”, his management company has said.
