President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday signed the 2023 appropriation bill of N21.8 trillion into law after the National Assembly approved it last week. Chronicle NG had reported that Buhari presented a budget of N20.51 trillion but the National Assembly added N1.32 trillion (6.4 per cent) before approving it. The federal lawmakers raised oil price assumption to $75 a barrel from $70. The Ogun State Police Command has begun an investigation into the death of a couple, Mr. Kehinde and Mrs. Bukola Fatinoye, at Ibara GRA in Abeokuta, on the New Year’s Day. SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police public relations officer, made the disclosure in an interview with NAN on Monday in Abeokuta. NAN reports that Kehinde and Bukola were burnt to death when suspected arsonists set their house ablaze on Jan. 1. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has announced that taxpayers can now get their Tax Clearance Certificate in a single click via its flagship Taxpro Max solution. The TaxPro Max, a tax administration solution introduced by the apex tax authority in June 2021 is a one-stop-shop for taxpayer registration, tax returns filing, tax payment, tax clearance certificate requesting, among other functionalities.
