A Lagos State Special Offences mobile court in Bolade, Oshodi on Monday, March 27 sentenced a fake LASTMA officer, Omotutu Bamidele to a two- year jail term for impersonating and extorting money from motorists across Lagos. Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday evening urged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to abort its nationwide protest planned for Wednesday. At a meeting organised by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, the CBN and NLC met to discuss the naira scarcity and impending industrial action. Chelsea Football Club had an overall net loss of £121.3 million for 2021-22 due to “extraordinary expenses and loss of revenue” after sanctions were imposed on previous owner Roman Abramovich, the Premier League club said on Monday. A 28-year-old woman shot dead three children and three adults at a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday, before police killed her. The woman had at least two semi-automatic rifles and a handgun, police said.
