Bolanle Cole described how one of his clients, a five-month pregnant woman died after she was persuaded to withdraw a divorce case in court by her pastor. The Nigeria Senate has postponed the resumption of plenary to May 2, the clerk of the senate said on Friday. Chinedu Akubueze made the announcement in a statement in Abuja on Friday. The Federal Government says it is considering how best to achieve fuel subsidy removal without disrupting livelihoods in Nigeria. Amb. Nigerian scholar and professor, Jacob Olupona, has been elected into the American Academy of Arts and Science, the academy website said. Olupona, a Professor of African Religious Traditions at the Harvard Divinity School, is among the 269 newly announced Academy fellows revealed by the institution.
