The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) says it has spent over 1.1 billion dollars from its cash flow on the ongoing development of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline and Station project. Malam Mele Kyari, GCEO of NNPC Limited, stated this on Monday while touring some of its project sites in Kogi with newsmen and other stakeholders. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria has disclosed 222.6 million telephone subscribers as of the end of 2022. The 2022 figure represented a 27.1 million subscriber growth over the 195.5 million registered at the end of 2021. The data were revealed in the NBS’s Telecoms Data: Active Voice and Internet per State, Porting and Tariff Information report for the fourth quarter of 2022, which was issued in Abuja on Monday. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 42-year-old cripple, allegedly trading in illicit drug on his wheelchair in Edo. The arrest was communicated in a statement by the Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi on Sunday in Abuja. Babafemi said the suspect was arrested in a raid of drug joints in parts of the state.
